KARMA
This has little to do with some mystical force that is some sort of feedback system that ends up reflecting good/bad deeds at people. It is something done by people. However, the good is generally absorbed, while the bad tends to be sent back in spades.
Such things aren't always sent back to the source. If a back and forth of negativity ensues between two individuals or groups of people, it will escalate until people die. The only way it ends is with the defeat of one side, or if someone is willing to step into the middle to face and absorb the negativity enough for some positive things to be done. Such is the nature of strife and war.
